MNLMRA Associated Club Program .....
The MNLMRA is sponsoring "home track" lawn mower racing groups throughout Minnesota.
Northern Minnesota Lawn Mower Racing Association - Thief River Falls, MN - The NMNLMRA will be hosting races at it's
home track throughout July, August and September of this year as well as races
at the Pennington County (MN) and the Grand Forks (ND) Fairs.Terry Blacklance, long time race promoter of MDRA and DTRA will be at the helm of this new venture into lawnmower racing.
The land purchase is being finalized this month and construction on the dedicated 1/10th mile lawn mower racing track (oval) will begin soon, so get those mowers ready, before you know it the green flag will be dropping !!!
As you can imagine the schedule has not been set just yet, but the MNLMRA will be there to help kick off the new AC when things are ready.
To keep things easy the NMNLMRA will be using the USLMRA class structure and rules. Terry told me that this will be a high caliber program and he is working diligently to have tow money available at NMNLMRA events.

Finishline Cafe - Princeton, MN - The new owner of the Finish Line Cafe has graciously offered up the empty lot behind the business as a place we can race as often as we want during the summer. I paced it off and it looks to be approx 400 x 250ft so we should be able to create a nice little short track for lawn mower racing there in 2008. We held an informational meeting there earlier this year and a few local participants were in attendance. We will be scheduling another meeting here shortly to lay out the track and get things going.....
Raceway Park - Shakopee, MN - Best known some of the finest and affordable family entertainment in a safe and comfortable environment. Careful planning and consideration is given to insure that thier NASCAR Sunday night racing program, Eve of Destructions and Enduro Series and NASCAR Touring events are a success. Special novelty events include the Green Mamba Jet Car, kid rides, bicycle races; figure 8 trailer races, school bus races, Lawn Mower Racing, spectator drags, flagpole races, motorcycles fireworks and much more.
Washington County - Lake Elmo, MN The MNLMRA has been working dilligently with the Washington County Fairboard to orchestrate an agreement for use of the new motorsports arena that was built just last summer. A proposal has been sent to the board for review.
Many others have expressed interest in creating perminent racing facilities for lawn mower racers. The MNLMRA is fielded requests from Holandale, St.Cloud, and Faribault, MN. The future is looking bright for mower racing in MN we just have to figure out a way to be able to afford the gas !!!
