The MNLMRA is sponsoring "home track" lawn mower racing groups throughout Minnesota. Dave Stratton of the MNLMRA has built a great relationship with the management at Raceway Park. As a result of all of Dave's (and other members of the MNLMRA ) hard work They have committed to building a practice track for lawn mower racers to use.
Here are some of the comments from drivers and spectators that have seen the Lawn Mowers at Raceway Park .

Thank you Mike, Jason, Brian, Linda and D-Day.
Mike, Todd Wilson #87 and the owner of the race track wanted to make sure I thanked you for all the help during the day. Mike got into town early and helped out a local driver do some repairs to his car. That driver ended up taking 1st in the flag pole race heat. Way to mow Mike!!!
Then Mike helped the owner put on a track event. A track event is where a company rents the track and the track cars and race. Once again way to Mow Mike.
Jason, Brian and D-Day, Please thank you wives for me. I know with out there support we would not be able to do this together.
Linda, Thank you for taking pictures. Can't wait to see them!
We put on two shows with 10 mowers in the first and 9 in the second. The stands were about 95% full.
One rolling start and one ?lemmons? start.
After the first show we ended up with challenges with two mowers. One motor and one trany. With the combined talent we were able to consolidate all the good parts to get one of the mowers fixed. I think it took about 10 minutes. WOW. It was like we were racing each other to take parts off and get them back installed. The mower puns were flying and there was no shortage of sarcasm being tossed around. If this is any indication of the fun we will have this year I can't wait.
After our second show I went up into the stands to hug and kiss my wife and kids for supporting our sport and me. After doing this I was drilled with questions from other dads and kids about mower racing and how to get started. After seeing this response I think it was a huge success. From what I have been told the announcer did an awesome job promoting MNLMRA and the drivers.
After July 4th it looks like we will be able to put in a practice track in the back of the un-used section of the parking lot.
I dropped off some grass seed this morning to replace what was mowed off with donuts. Ha Ha
Is anyone available July 18th?
Speed channel is doing a tapping at Raceway.
I will ask if they have room in the show for us again if others are interested.
Check with your wife and family plans. Remember, family always comes in 1st. -
