4-2-05 1st ever MNLMRA Lawn Mower Build Clinic and Open House - On April 2nd 2005 the MNLMRA held it's first ever build clinic and open house in Hopkins Minnesota. A grass roots sport, lawn mower racing has to promote safe building practices so we have come up with the idea to host build clinics in an effort to show potential racers how to build a racing mower safely, and also to show possible host venues that lawn mower racing is for real.
6-14-05 1st ever MNLMRA Local Chapter Race - On June 14th 2005 the MNLMRA held it's first ever Local Chapter Race in Mason City Iowa to help promote Clear Channel Communications Big Toys for Big Boys show at the North Iowa Fairgrounds.

" It still makes me laugh when you see someone that has never seen a lawn mower, that has been prepaired for racing. Usually thier eyes open up and a smile takes over as they watch the mowers rip around the track...", Lee Vine said, referring to Keith Kilpatrick as he watched the first heat of an A/P race Kilpatrick hosted at River Cade in South Sioux City Nebraska.
8-6-05 3rd and final MNLMRA Local Chapter Race for 2005 - On August 6th 2005 the MNLMRA held it's 3rd and final race of the 2005 season at the Freeborn County Fair in Albert Lea, Mn.
